​​Read Efficient is a comprehensive reading and math component designed to provide individualized tutoring sessions that strengthen students' academic foundation. In reading, the program focuses on enhancing fluency, comprehension, and overall literacy skills. All TRILL tutors are certified educators, with many holding reading endorsements and specialized training in the Orton-Gillingham approach, a structured, multisensory, phonics-based method proven effective for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning challenges. In addition to literacy support, Read Efficient offers targeted math instruction aimed at building fundamental skills, improving problem-solving abilities, and boosting students’ confidence in mathematics.



Meet Mrs. Talon
Founder & Director of Read Efficient

Born and raised in East Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Talon is a passionate educator with over 20 years of experience helping students overcome academic and social challenges. She founded Read Efficient to provide students with the personalized support, inspiration, and confidence they need to become strong, independent readers.
A graduate of Shaw High School, Mrs. Talon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction & Reading. She is highly qualified in reading, math, social studies, and science, and has spent her career advocating for students who learn differently.
For the past 15 years, she has served as an Intervention Specialist in Columbus City Schools, where she works closely with students who struggle in traditional classrooms. Mrs. Talon is also trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, a proven method for teaching reading, writing, and spelling, especially effective for students with dyslexia and those performing below grade level.
Through Read Efficient, Mrs. Talon brings her deep expertise, empathy, and dedication to every learner she serves, helping them unlock their full potential through literacy.
